Perth is one of a kind. Modern-day boom town is nothing you’ve seen before. Biggest and capital city of Western Australia, yet so laidback and blessed with wonderful weather and endless beaches.
Spending a month of our winter in the southern hemisphere’s summer has definitely left a tiny bittersweet tang on my lips, and going back to minus temperatures was something I wasn’t thinking about at all, until the last day. Putting together the photo diary brought back so many nice memories that I will definitely cherish forever.
Have a picnic on the beach – Scarborough, Cottesloe, Sorrento, Trigg, Whitfords, or one of a hundred others. Stroll around the London Court and Hay Street Mall, check out the Old Clock and check the souvenirs off the list. Head towards Kings Park and Botanic Garden. Take time to learn about aboriginal history. Visit Art Gallery of WA. Walk around Elizabeth Quay. Finish the day at Bobèche, especially if you love popcorn. Spend a day in Fremantle. Have a burger at Grill’d in Hillarys Harbour, and visit Aquarium of WA. Pet nice koalas and kangaroos, and see all kinds of animals in Caversham Wildlife Park.
Oh yes, and Penguin Island! Walk the sandbar – only if the currents are not strong!
Stay tuned for a Sydney recap! 🙂
